New James Bond Movie “Skyfall” Set for 2012 Release

A new film in the James Bond franchise, “Skyfall” is set to hit US theatres on November 9. “Skyfall” would be the twenty-third film installment in the franchise, and will star Daniel Craig once again as Agent 007. The film’s plot would revolve around the test of loyalty James Bond has for M as her past haunts her. Javier Bardem would play as the movie’s main antagonist by the name of “Raoul Silva”, and Naomie Harris as “Eve”, one of the Bond girls. The film is directed by Sam Mendez.

There had been a lot of news about “Skyfall” even before the film started. For one, it’s been said that Naomie Harris’ character as Eve would actually be Moneypenny, and it would be revealed on the film. However, Harris stated that “Eve”, her character, is not exactly office-bound to be Moneypenny. Also, the character of Q would be returning in a James Bond film after being absent in the past two films in “Casino Royale” and “Quantum of Solace”. Ben Whishaw would portray the character of Q. On another note, Judi Dench would play the crucial role of M for the seventh consecutive time. For Daniel Craig, it would be his third consecutive Bond film since “Casino Royale”.

Even though in its pre-release stage, the official “Skyfall” photobook has recently been launched, with photos of the staff and crew, including on-site filming and the candidate lead Bond girls. There were also interviews released. A James Bond poster of “Skyfall” wouldn’t be that much far from now from its upcoming release.  It would be very cool to be have one of those “Skyfall” James Bond posters, so you should be on a look out for them.

The location of “Skyfall” would be international as the other Bond movies, but this film would see more Asian locations. The crew had shot several scenes at Istanbul’s Sultanahmet Square, Hagia Sophia, and on Adana, the city of Fethiye and Varda Railway Bridge. Adana would stand in for the outskirts of Istanbul, while some scenes would be set on Hashima Island, an abandoned island south of mainland Japan.  There are also confirmed scenes shot in China, specifically Shanghai. Lastly, and of course, there were scenes shot in London.

For those who can’t wait for the Bond girls, there are three Bond girls mentioned so far: Naomie Harris as Eve, Berenice Marlohe as Severine, and Tonia Sotiropoulou in a yet unnamed character. If you’re excited about the gadgets and the car, there were reports that the crew brought in an Aston Martin DB5 in Deptford District in London. If not for MGM’s prior financial troubles, “Skyfall” would have been filmed and set for release in 2010. However, “Skyfall” would instead be released on the 50th anniversary of the first Bond film “Dr. No”, to be followed by a documentary on the James Bond movie franchise. “Skyfall” is also the first Bond movie to be shown in IMAX theaters.

The Godfather: A movie that changed movies forever

The Godfather Poster Offer Quote
"I'm gonna make him an offer he can't refuse", this famous Don Vito Corleone’s line from the American epic crime film “The Godfather” is one of the most memorable line in cinema history. The Godfather is one of the greatest American films ever made and one that is widely quoted and imitated. This Francis Ford Coppola’s masterpiece was originally released March 15, 1972, and after 40 years it still is one of the most influential films ever.

The Godfather was the highest grossing film released by Paramount Pictures in 1972 and considered a touchstone in the world cinema. The movie was based on the 1969’s novel of the same name by author Mario Puzo and starred Marlon Brando as Don Vito Corleone, a leader of a powerful New York crime family in 1940’s. He is joined by Al Pacino as Vito’s youngest son Michael Corleone and James Caan as Santino “Sonny” Corleone, Don Corleone’s eldest son. The climax to this ultimate mob classic was when Michael (the godfather-in-waiting) takes his revenge on his family’s enemies. The Godfather had 11 Academy Awards nominations and won the titles for Best Picture, Best Actor (Marlon Brando), and Best Adapted Screenplay. The Godfather’s huge success was followed by a pair of movie sequels (released in 1974 and 1990) which were equally successful. The novel also released a number of sequels after the movie’s success.

Although many gangsters’ movies were inspired by The Godfather nothing surpassed the legacy this movie made. The movie has not only achieved financial success but also had a great impact on pop culture for almost half a century. The Godfather is truly a landmark and the film’s enduring impact is evidenced by continued homage, parodies, imitation, famous quotations and many cultural references.

The Godfather series has a continuously growing fan base of film makers and movie junkies from different generations coming from different parts of the world. The release of the film in high definition DVDs and Blu-ray disc sets in 2008 has added more and more people appreciating Coppola’s work of art. Several The Godfather inspired collectibles and unique memorabilia’s have also captured the interest of Godfather addicts. Some of the Godfather merchandise includes Godfather Quotebooks which features favorite lines such as "Leave the gun. Take the cannolis."  and other famous quotes from the Godfather trilogy, The Godfather Posters which showcases some of the unforgettable scenes, Godfather famous quotes and Godfather cast of stars from the film series, Godfather video games, action figures and other collectibles.

My week with Marilyn Monroe Posters

Take a look at the latest issues of Playboy nowadays, and look at Monroe’s cover on December 1953, she even with a nude photo inside that very issue. Nothing different, one can presume. Now take in consideration the period that she posed for the photos. It was a time when those shots were ultimately tabooed and when catering to nudity is synonymous to being a resident of Gomorrah. Monroe was not only a 50’s sex symbol: she also represented the emergence of the new Hollywood, where a man’s fantasies of money, power and sex were just a movie ticket apart.

Monroe starred in one of her most iconic movies “Seven Year Itch” in 1955 where she accidentally sported the skirt-blowing fashion, a caricature attributed to her. The Betty Boop caricature was attributed to this image of hers, and a multitude of imitators abound not only in the US but in the whole world. Don’t also forget her signature blonde, stocky hairdo and the silver dress that sold $4.6 million dollars in an auction.

Her times were more constricting in its morality. The people these times were most reserved, especially the timid girls who were contented in being covered with a dress from neck to wrist to ankle. She broke these social constraints, telling in one of the famous Marilyn Monroe quotes, ““If I'd observed all the rules I'd never have got anywhere.”

Speaking of quotes, Monroe has had her fair share of enlightening quotes, most of which were her ideas on femininity and show business. One of her famous lines is addressed for those who aspires her, telling them, “I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.” One of her most famous comments about Hollywood and show business was a very realistic one; “Hollywood is a place where they'll pay you a thousand dollars for a kiss and fifty cents for your soul. I know, because I turned down the first offer often enough and held out for the fifty cents.”

Her contributions to American pop culture, and every inch in her that contributed to her strong image made her endure all the way until the 21st century. The things that she did continually create ripples, if not those ripples were still felt for Monroe’s appeal to be alive in Marilyn Monroe Posters hanging around art galleries or cafes.

Hollywood, who gave her fame and success, now reminds America of their once shining symbol of beauty and sex in the film “My Week with Marilyn”. The film stars Michelle Williams as Marilyn Monroe herself and gets Kenneth Branagh as Laurence Olivier. The film narrates the back story of the creation of Monroe’s film “The Prince and the Showgirl” back in 1957. An added twist to it (spoiler ahead!) was a love triangle with Lucy, played by Harry Potter star Emma Watson. Branagh, the actor playing Olivier, used to fill in the roles of the real Laurence Olivier in Shakespeare theater plays. Williams was known earlier for her films “Dawson Creek”, “Shutter Island” and “Brokeback Mountain”.

Breaking Dawn Posters - Twilight Movie opens today!

Summit Entertainment's release of the 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1' will definitely have Twihards (die hard Twilight fans) rejoice and line up at theaters to watch the penultimate film in the popular Twilight Saga Series. This is the first of the two-part romantic fantasy film directed by Bill Condon and based on the novel Breaking Dawn written by Stephenie Meyer. In this fourth installment of the epic saga, Bella Swan and Edward Cullen decides to finally vow to be together forever as husband and wife. Here, they will be expecting parents of an unborn child (Renesmee Carlie Cullen) who poses threats to the whole vampire coven as well as to the wolf pack.

The Twilight Saga series has been one of the most anticipated movie sequels of all time. It has brought unbelievable fame to its stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. It is mainly a story about a love triangle of a handsome vampire (Edward Cullen), a quileute schoolgirl(Bella Swan) and a werewolf (Jacob Black).

Stephenie Meyer, the author of Twilight series has also received worldwide recognition and instant fortune after her vampire romance series became a hit.

Twilight has undoubtedly swept fans off their feet and has melted their hearts with the eternal love of Bella and Edward. With this latest installment to this series, theaters will once again be packed with Twihards and Twilighters or simply Twilight fanatics.

Twilight became an addiction to most teenage girls obsessesed with the handsome Edward Cullen, wishing they would become Bella and meet their handsome vampire one day.

This Twilight addiction has made avid Twilight fans also collectors of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight Book Series, Twilight DVDS, Twilight soundtracks, Twilight Posters, Twilight shirts and many Twilight inspired merchandise.

The Twilight fan craze also started a trend in many events and parties. Most schools have adapted Twilight on vampire-themed proms and many Twilight vamps have also showed up at Halloween costume parties. This only proves that Twilight has been magically addictive.

Despite of its popularity, there are still some people who considers Twilight as another boring fantasy story about a civilized coven of vampires versus a tribe of shape-shifters or better known as werewolves. There are also some critics saying that this vampire romance flaring up between Edward Cullen and Bella Swan only targets teenage audience with identity crisis issues trying to escape the realities of life by fawning over a sexy romantic vampire.

But still, many of these teenage girls believed that Twilight has inspired them and made them realize the importance of love and life. Twilight might just be another Harry Potter phenomenon, but for many fans who have been drawn into this movie sequel, Twilight is indeed a life changing story.

A Different Kind of Revenge Coming in New Transformers Film

There is plenty to talk about this week as the predicted summer Blockbuster, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen on the IMAX has finally reached the theatres worldwide. As the titleshows: Revenge is the main theme of this action packed film. However, as the film is set on Revenge on the Decepticons from the first film there is a bit of irony with Transformers II protecting the first film as it may be the reason for its lack of success. The talk now ranges around the terrible reviews that it is currently receiving by the critics around (23 out of 100 critics on Rotten Tomatoes approved). Much of the criticism has been around Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen being too much noise and spectacle and not much story. With all of the hype that the film had been receiving over the past months it is no wonder that the film appeared to many critics a large let down. More than anything this just means that the film will be tested by its audiences worldwide who seem to have wanted the action packed sequel to be huge. For Michael Bay is going to be tested by the smaller wallets of his audiences this year who may be more hesitant to spend their money on a film that received such negative reviews.

Either way, visually the film is quite a feat and with these amazing Transformers posters available this is something you don’t want to miss out on. We have all of the Transformer poster
can want ranging from Transformers Poster of Decepticons, Transformers posters
of Optimus Prime, and Transformers posters of Bumblebee. These Transformers
posters are great!
